Shipping & Returns
Original artworks are carefully packed and shipped with attention to safety, protection and presentation.
Each painting is an original piece, so shipping may vary depending on size, destination and framing. After your order, I will prepare your artwork for safe delivery and keep you updated throughout the process.
-
Every shipment is fully insured for the full value of the artwork - from studio to your door, the risk is mine, not yours.
Original artworks are carefully packed to protect the surface, frame and canvas during transport. Each painting ships with its signed certificate of authenticity.
Depending on the size and destination, your painting may be shipped with a parcel service, courier or specialist art shipping provider.
You will receive a confirmation once your order has been processed and another update once your artwork has been shipped.
In the unlikely event of transport damage: take photos, send them to me, and I'll take care of everything - replacement or full refund, your choice. You will never be left with a damaged artwork and an insurance form.
-
Unpack, hang, enjoy - most collectors have their painting on the wall within minutes.
Every painting is prepared, packed and dispatched from my Cologne studio within 10 business days - framed orders may take a few days longer. Once shipped, delivery typically takes 1–3 business days within Germany and 3–7 business days across the EU. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your artwork is on its way. If you need a painting by a specific date, contact me before ordering - often, faster dispatch is possible.
-
Yes. Shipping is free and fully insured within the EU.
For destinations outside the EU, please get in touch before ordering and I'll arrange insured shipping and send you a quote.
Please note that customs duties or import taxes may apply for deliveries outside the EU. These are the responsibility of the buyer. -
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving the artwork.
To request a return, please contact Studio Thurm by email within the withdrawal period before sending anything back.
The artwork must be returned in its original condition, safely packed and protected. Please use the original packaging whenever possible.
Return shipping costs are usually the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Refunds will be processed after the returned artwork has been received and checked for condition.

Commissioned artworks are custom-made pieces created specifically for your space, preferred size, color direction and individual request.
Because these artworks are made individually for you, commissioned artworks are generally excluded from returns and cancellation once the creation process has started, unless the artwork arrives damaged or there is another legal reason for return.
Before a commission begins, all key details such as size, color direction, price, timeline and process will be agreed individually.

If you're in or near Cologne, studio pickup and viewings are possible by appointment. Local delivery and hanging can also be arranged.
What happens after you buy?
Order Confirmation
Your order lands directly in my inbox. There's no warehouse behind Studio Thurm, just me. You'll get a confirmation right away, and I'll personally check the details before your painting begins its journey. If anything about the delivery needs a quick word - a framed large format, a tricky address - I'll simply reach out.
Careful Packaging
I pack every painting myself, in the same studio where it was made. Corners protected, surface wrapped, canvas secured and the signed certificate of authenticity tucked in on top. Larger works get extra layers of protection. By the time the box is sealed, it's ready for anything the road might bring.
Shipping & Tracking
Fully insured, from my door to yours - the risk stays with me until the painting is safely in your hands. As soon as it ships, you'll receive your tracking number so you can follow along. And honestly: sending a painting off to its new home is one of my favorite moments.
Arrival & Support
Unpack, hang, enjoy - most paintings are on the wall within minutes. Should the box arrive with transport damage (it's rare, but it happens): take a few photos, send them to me, and I'll sort out everything - replacement or full refund, your choice. You'll never be left alone with a damaged artwork and an insurance form.
